I guess that’s the most overrated thing in the world. Being a night-owl since the age of 10–11, people constantly kept reminding me how important is it to follow sleep or work schedule/timetable.
Since then, I have made at least 100 timetables, out of which I followed none for more than 3 days.
Sleeping at 10 ‘o’clock and waking up at 6 ‘o’clock isn’t my thing, it was never. Why should I wake up early in the morning when I am most productive in the night? Not only I but every person whose productivity and creativity unveils in the night.
For me, being flexible is superior to following a timetable.
Everything does not need to work with clockwork precision where even a small dervish can throw the entire system out of whirl.
Work when you are most productive, not when people say you will be most productive. Try working at different timings, see what matches your productivity, and then decide your work hours.
Instead of having a timetable, have a to-do list. Complete all the tasks for the day, and then you are good to go.
Do let me know what you all think about this!
